Yesterday was another whirlwind day for Team Canada as they continued their preparations for the Wild Cup Int'l. The remaining members of the team arrived overnight from the other participating dojos, including Shihan Jacques Dupont, Shihan Stephane Quirion, Shihan Stephane Marcotte, and Sensei Kathleen Berchet.
The team split into two groups for some well-deserved relaxation. One group embarked on an exciting excursion to Jaco Beach, enjoying a scenic 2 hour bus ride provided by their gracious hosts. Along the way, they passed the breathtaking Tru Tarcoles River, home to impressive crocodiles, a truly unforgettable experience!
Back at the Irazu Hotel, the remaining team members, accompanied by Shihan Ray, enjoyed some light training and relaxation by the pool. The training regimen included a challenging lap swim: 25 laps for the kids and a demanding 75 laps for the adults.
With only 24 hours to go, everyone is brimming with excitement as the Wild Cup Int'l is just around the corner! Today will be a day of focused mental preparation, ensuring that each team member is mentally and emotionally ready to compete at their peak performance.
Stay tuned for updates as they head into the final stretch before the competition!
