Yesterday was a day etched in our memories, a day where passion, dedication, and the indomitable spirit of Kyokushin Kenbukai shone brightly on the international stage. After a long hiatus from international competition, our team returned with a resounding roar, bringing home an astounding seventeen trophies! What an incredible accomplishment!
As spectators, we were glued to the live stream, our hearts pounding with every match. A huge thank you to the organizers for making it possible for us to share in the excitement, even from afar. We cheered, we held our breath, and we beamed with pride as each member of our team stepped onto the tatami. Every single competitor gave their all, pushing their limits and embodying the true spirit of Kyokushin.
We know it was a long and demanding day for everyone who competed. Exhaustion is inevitable after such a display of strength and endurance. But amidst the weariness, there must also be a profound sense of accomplishment. Every participant, whether they brought home a trophy or not, should hold their head high. You faced the challenge, you gave your absolute best, and you honoured the budo spirit. That in itself is a victory.
Seventeen trophies are coming back to New Brunswick, a testament to the hard work and dedication of our athletes and coaches. And to those who didn't bring home hardware this time, remember that your journey, your effort, and your commitment are just as valuable. Your time will come. Every experience, win or lose, is a stepping stone on the path to mastery.
Today, while many of our young warriors are enjoying a well-deserved rest, many of the adults are diving deeper into the art with a Full Contact Karate Seminar led by the esteemed Kaicho Masahiro Kaneko, Shihan Shoji Ryosuke, and Sensei Masaki Fuji. What an incredible opportunity to learn from such masters!
Tonight, they celebrate! The Sayonara party is a chance to reconnect with competitors who have become friends, a common and cherished tradition in Kyokushin Kenbukai. It's a time to share stories, forge new bonds, and strengthen the global Kyokushin community. They're excited to celebrate the successes of the past days and look forward to the future with renewed energy and inspiration. Osu!
