Yesterday, the group had two incredible excursions to choose from, each offering a unique glimpse into the country's natural beauty.
For those seeking a thrilling wildlife encounter, the La Paz Waterfall Gardens Nature Park was the ultimate destination. This renowned park, boasting five magnificent waterfalls and the largest animal sanctuary in Costa Rica, offered a feast for the senses. Lush rainforest, vibrant butterflies, playful monkeys, and a myriad of other exotic creatures filled the air with excitement. It truly lived up to its reputation as the "Most Popular Ecological Attraction in Costa Rica."
Alternatively, the Fortuna River Waterfall provided a more intimate and serene connection with nature. Nestled within the Arenal Volcano National Park, this hidden gem, managed sustainably by a local non-profit, invited visitors on a scenic hike through lush rainforest. The reward? A breathtaking 70-meter waterfall cascading into a crystal-clear pool. While the 530 steps to reach the falls presented a challenging climb, the views were undeniably worth the effort.
Both excursions offered unforgettable memories, leaving the group in awe of Costa Rica's incredible natural splendor. Whether they chose the excitement of La Paz or the tranquility of Fortuna River, yesterday was undoubtedly a day for adventure.
Today marks the final day in this welcoming and warm embrace before returning to the Canadian winter. We are looking forward to welcoming everyone home with stories of their unforgettable Costa Rican adventure!
